I AM IN HEAVEN RESULTS OF THIS HEATER. I COULD LOSE OVER $1,000 ON FISH THIS. If you want the STABLE TEMPERATURE you should expect from any heater, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I have a 150 watt heater in a 20 gallon tank for L046 Zebra Plecos, a species that is going extinct in the wild very soon. I've always wanted them and last week I was finally able to afford a set of these. AND GUESS WHAT. Now 1 has died and the other 3 are sick because this horrible quality heater chooses to swing the temperatures DRAMATICALLY. I set it to 86, that's how Zebra Plecos loves its water. The heater barely gets to 84 and oscillates between 81 and 84 daily. Well today I woke up and I'm wondering what the temp was in the tank. 75 degrees. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? This heater is JUNK and Penn Plax operates it CLEARLY for profit and not for the health of their customers' fish or the quality of their products. A 150 watt heater that can't maintain a stable temperature in a 20 gallon tank?!?!? I've used a 150 watt Aqueon heater at 40 gallons with no problems. DO yourself a favor to avoid problems in the VERY NEAR future. DO NOT BUY THIS HEATER. SPEND MORE ON RELIABLE.
