MIU France Battery Operated Stainless Steel Pepper Mill with LED Light The first one I bought lasted the full 3 months. The second, placed in the place of the first, served a little over 12 months. The button at the top kept sticking and dropped a lot more pepper than I wanted. Within the first 30 days the top stainless steel screen came loose while I was using it and the main mechanism fell onto a slab that I will no longer be using. About two months ago he started tapping and stopped tapping completely. I like the idea of this as I have severe arthritis in my hands but am not returning it so it goes in the trash.
