Make sure the plug is fully inserted even if you need to change it.

At least two reviewers have already suggested making sure the connector is FULLY inserted. This is very true. I had to shave off one side of the connector a bit to get it fully into the socket on my Baofeng UV-5R Camo. However, the connection is not always the best the first time. I have to postpone it sometimes. But once it was fully set up and connected, there were no problems. Not a perfect solution, but all similar clones I've found in this price range are the same. You can just go with him.
