Upon receipt, I thought at first glance that this socket would be too short for the long plugs (SILZKAR7b11) on our 2015 Crosstrek. This 14mm jack is perfect. The 14mm size fits perfectly, unlike the commonly used 9/16 sizes. I also liked that it is a 6 point socket and not a 12 point socket. The magnetic mount was perfectly balanced to hold the plug when plugged in, but released easily when pulled without my extension cords coming loose and the outlet staying in the hole. Reading this, 1st generation Crosstrek owners concluded that the "correct" combination for the rider-rear connector was: this socket + 1" long 3/8 to 1/4 adapter + standard, short (3") swivel extension. I got by with a short handle 1/4 ratchet, but a flex head with a medium or long handle would be much better.
