Worked well, better than the rubber inside ones

I needed 14mm for the Accord. A local offered me a 9/16 with a rubber ring to hold the cork. In most reviews I've seen complaints of the rubber coming out AFTER you've screwed the connector into the motor. Not optimal! I paid 2-3 times more for this. Did my stubs and had no problems. $15 for the outlet, $55 for the plugs, and a big fat FU dealer who wanted to charge me $250 to replace my plugs. It's priceless.

Perfect fit for Mercedes GLA45 AMG 2016

Wanted a thin wall hex socket to replace spark plugs on my Mercedes. After seeing cheap 12-point socket after cheap 12-point socket on here, I finally came across this one. I was worried it wouldn't be thin enough to pull out the plugs, but it worked great. There are no protrusions on the body to prevent him from going down the well, he holds the plugs in place, appears to be well made and withstood my attempts to remove the plugs which were practically stuck in the engine (the previous owner…

I figured a magnetic chuck would work better and decided to give it a try.

Most jobs are satisfactory. However, when I had to make spark plugs in my 2013 Corolla, the rubber plug was too tight on the spark plug, it was difficult to remove the socket from the spark plug without disconnecting the extensions from the socket and staying at the bottom of the 6" hole I thought a magnetic socket would work better so decided to give this one a try it worked great it held the plug well and securely as I lowered it into the hole but wasn't so sure the extensions would align…

Suitable for use and hold

I specifically wanted to use a 6 point spark plug wrench instead of 12 in case thread corrosion made the job difficult. I was a little nervous as I had never used a spark plug boot with a magnet, particularly for fear that the magnet would interfere with the seat seating on the spark plug. I was also concerned about the company's name, thinking it was geared towards motorcycle engines. The length of the socket is perfect for the spark plug and grips the full length of the hex. The outer…

Upon receipt, I thought at first glance that this socket would be too short for the long plugs (SILZKAR7b11) on our 2015 Crosstrek. This 14mm jack is perfect. The 14mm size fits perfectly, unlike the commonly used 9/16 sizes. I also liked that it is a 6 point socket and not a 12 point socket. The magnetic mount was perfectly balanced to hold the plug when plugged in, but released easily when pulled without my extension cords coming loose and the outlet staying in the hole. Reading this, 1st…

Essential tool for ignition parts

My Subaru requires a 14mm spark plug boot and these are not easy to find. 9/16 is close but has a low risk of rounding, as do 12-point sockets. A spark plug can fall out of a 14mm deep well (in the valve cover of a Subaru it's not interesting to get it out). This is my first magnetic spark plug and I want my others to be magnetic, just a much nicer feel when the spark plug turns on. The quality seems slightly better than the 5/8 from my Craftsman starter kit (purchased in the early 2000's)…

Exactly what I needed!

I have this for my 2017 Triumph Bonneville T120 and it works great! It fits easily in the spark plug cavity, and the strength of the magnet is just enough to allow me to press the button on my ratchet to loosen it while still leaving a socket on the spark plug. I bought it primarily because its overall length is 2 1/2 inches, which allows me to slip it over the plug without hitting the ratchet on the bottom of the gas tank. In my experience, the quality of Taiwan made tools like this tend to be

Best spark plug head I've ever used

So I'm a "snap on" guy and have about 50,000 different tools. I needed a small, hard to find 14mm 9/16 spark plug head for my 14 year old Subaru Crosstrek. I have "rubber-insulated" spark plug sockets, but they have an inherent problem: they either come out with the spark plug or are held so tightly that attempting to remove extensions or wrenches can be difficult. I also wanted a "6 point" instead of a "12 point" socket. So I read good reviews about this "Bike Master 6 Point Magnetic" candle…
