worth the extra cost

I've had 3 of these on my faucets and they splash water on you from day one if you turn off the faucet. The old valves had been installed by a contractor in my new house and I was reluctant to replace them until they started leaking when the water was turned on. The ones supplied by the manufacturer were a cheaper version with plastic parts inside, they are all brass. After replacing them with a new ALL brass shut-off valve, I don't get wet when I turn off the water. It still just doesn't get around me. It's worth the premium I paid for them over the cheaper versions.
