I was nervous reading the last review as the person said his jacket was too small. During this time, I struggled to find a cheap beige trench coat in my size. I thoughtlessly flipped through Revain and what struck me about this jacket was that it didn't have the thick black buttons which were confusing. I'm 5ft 8" and 180lbs (thanks to quarantine) and hesitantly ordered this jacket. I'm also medium-sized and looked at their size chart and decided to go medium anyway. When trying it on everything was fine. I mean a bit tight but the sleeves fit well, I was able to button the jacket up comfortably and there were no issues with the jacket as a whole. The jacket has a hood and a mostly black plaid lining with a red stripe. You can also see the lining in the hood. Light tortoise shell buttons. If I were to take a large I'm not sure it would be worth it as I try to avoid the large size. The jacket came folded, there were no creases or creases. The material is normal - nothing more. I'll have to see how it holds up in the rain. In summary, this medium-sized jacket will fit a 5ft 8,180lb woman - no problem. The material is ok for the price.
