Pretty much everything I've read said you don't need it.

Almost everything I've read says you don't need to balance the tires on a scooter (Yamaha Zuma 125) because the tires are small and don't go fast enough. Despite this conventional wisdom, I thought my scooter tires needed balancing. I have used these beads and am very happy with the result. They definitely smoothed out the ride on my scooter.
