These socks appear to be good quality but they are not for me. I wanted a thick sock that would be comfortable to walk on hard floors. The foot part of this sock is very thin. Reminds me of thin men's socks. This is probably a thickness over pantyhose or stockings to the knees. Although it is not transparent. The waistband part above the foot area and around the ankle is slightly thicker. I wish the whole sock was that thick. Also, I wear women's size 9 sneakers and although the toe box was nice and wide, they were quite narrow at the ankle. I prefer a bit of freedom so these socks are not for me. I received 5 pairs as advertised. They are made in China. The attached photos show some details. I hope this helps someone. The fit of the socks is very individual. I can't comment on how they wear or wash because I could only wear one pair for about 10 minutes.
