The oven was dead except for the fire bowl and we were afraid we would look for a new stove. New is good but I love this oven and would rather save money. The product arrived in less than a week and my husband got the oven out of the cabinets in just an hour; pull out the old element; insert a new one; Wash the floor where it stood (why not?) and put it back in place. We turned on the preheat oven and set the timer for 30 minutes and when we came back the oven thermometer read the exact temperature we set it to. I should add that there were no instructions on how to replace the block. included and we did not expect. My boyfriend is an engineer, which makes me happy because I can't. If you're not sure you can get the job done, check YouTube and see if there's an instruction video before ordering. It wasn't very difficult, but it was a lot more work than changing a lightbulb.
