This is a great value. They don't block out a lot of outside noise, so it's very easy to hear someone speaking to you when the headphones are turned off. However, the sound quality of the speakers is excellent. We hear above the tractor (with mufflers on top) and they remain without new adjustments. The stories/songs can also be listened to through the vacuum cleaner without adjusting the volume on the device. In terms of fit, this is the only pair of headphones that every member of our family can use. From dad (over 6ft) to kindergarten. Everyone is responsible for a different colored cord and the chords hold up well even when the boys are rough!
