Mediocre pliers in general not particularly impressed.
They were used to flavor several meals during a 3 day trek. The first thing I noticed was that the metal stays 1/2 to 3/4 inch apart when you first squeeze, which isn't great for getting a decent amount of food in the tongs. each move by a very small amount due to the change in width. When they parted, they didn't stay, but quickly returned to the narrow opening. This was probably due to the composition or hardening of the metal. Overall, they were useful for a few dishes, but we switched to forks or spoons when they just won't cut.
