Used these tongs on a baby shower candy buffet. Squeeze lightly, but don't hold tight. They are just the right thickness and quality. Great price for these pliers. Other pliers reviews talk about how flimsy and cheap they are. You will not be disappointed in them at all.

My only complaint is that they arrived not very curved. I could bend them into shape. In the picture the right one is as it was; on the left after I fold it into shape. They're a little hard to squeeze. I wouldn't recommend for those with weak arm strength but they work great for me.

They are very good for collecting small items and we will definitely use them for this purpose in the future. And there is a lot of value with 12 packs. The only thing it doesn't work on (for us) is ice cubes sliding right off the corners. I'm sure if it's a perfect cube they will work great!

They feel sturdy, are good value and are a good size for holding small items (like sugar cubes, ham/chz for snacks). The only complaint is that they are quite stiff and you have to squeeze them pretty hard to use them. Your hands will get a pretty good job. You can't beat the price, but I wish it didn't take so much effort to get a handle on them.

Guests had to take one to prepare licorice and other candy that cannot be scooped. Then place them in the basket at the end of the pole. The tweezers are very small, flimsy and don't hold their shape. Once huddled together, they stayed together. Not intended for reuse. They served a purpose for this event but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They look, look and function like a one dollar item.

I chose these for serving small portions at a Halloween party and they fit perfectly. Beautiful appearance, easy to clean. Some people have complained that they are too difficult to compress. Well I recently injured my left arm (big flying rock, long story) and it has about a quarter of normal adult strength and I had no problem closing it 50 times in a row. For our COVID-19 Safe Family Christmas Bake for 8! I put these tongs in Christmas mugs along with my cutlery and napkins. The cups were placed on individual dessert and dinner plates so no one would touch any plates/cups other than their own. They were used to flavor several meals during a 3 day trek. The first thing I noticed was that the metal stays 1/2 to 3/4 inch apart when you first squeeze, which isn't great for getting a decent amount of food in the tongs. each move by a very small amount due to the change in width.
