Review on Mayflash F300 Arcade Joystick Switch by Duane Hayes

Great Beginner Stick

UPDATE: To those who have asked for my template, I'm sorry I never got back to you. Check the comments under my review for a link to my Google Drive to download the template! I have attached PNG and PSD files. I love fighting games, but I'm only good at Super Smash Bros. melee. I wanted to switch to other fighting games, so I was looking for a relatively cheap stick to buy. I've never used fighting sticks, so I'm not sure what high-end fighting sticks look like with Sanwa or Seimitsu parts. However, this joystick doesn't seem cheap and I'm happy to report that I'm very happy with my purchase. It's a good weight in my opinion, although most of the weight comes from the metal baseplate. The size is perfect for me as I'm short with small hands (about the size of a Madcatz Street Fighter 4 SE Combat Stick). This joystick can also be easily modified. It comes with a square stopper that can be changed to an octagonal or round stopper. I replaced mine with an octagonal sanwa gate. The buttons are connected with quick connectors, so you can change the buttons very easily. The stick comes with micro switches that are soldered separately. You can also replace the flash drive as the board has a 5-pin connector. For the illustrations, I found a template on Google Images and used a sticker that can be printed on. I drew my own illustration in Photoshop, printed it out, cut it out and pasted it onto my battle joystick. Pros: Easy to mod, good size for people with small hands, comfortable weight, responsive buttons and joystick that can be used on almost any platform. Cons: You must always have a 1st manufacturer controller attached when using it on consoles (for Xbox 360 you need a WIRED 360 controller), buttons and joystick seem very heavy for those using a high-end combat joystick being inadequate, they may be too small for people with large hands.
