I wanted lever back earrings that I can wear on vacation and only bring this one pair -- sleep in them and not worry about them, no need to take multiple pairs or worry about losing favorites. These are very pretty and the price is fantastic for the quality. As other reviews mentioned the post is thicker than many other earrings (especially "fine" jewelry earrings), but I occasionally wear my original posts from when my ears were pierced to keep the holes open the full size so the thickness doesn't bother me.My only "issue" with the Celtic cross style is that they're a bit longer than some of the other options and that tiny amount of extra length leads to them turning a little bit within the piercing hole when I wore them for 3 days without removing them -- so they aren't sitting straight up and down, just tilted a little bit in my ear to where the lever part sometimes goes into the actual pierced hole. I think some of the other styles that are more true "huggie" size wouldn't move as much and might have been a better option for wearing non-stop for a week as I had planned. But I would purchase these again and they are very nice.
