10 year old filter system needs to be replaced. The feedback from Frisslife was generally so positive (and we liked the idea of just replacing the filter instead of the whole plastic case) that we decided to go with this product. Unfortunately the installation required a plumber as the Frizzlife faucet's metal stem was not long enough to thread through the granite countertop! This is the standard countertop thickness! It was not possible to attach the filter system to the tap. Unfortunately, we only noticed this during the actual installation! The installer was finally able (using the fittings he had on his truck) to hook up the new Frizzlife filtration system to our existing filtered water faucet. Even with the discount coupon he provided, it cost $360 to install. Time will tell if the new filter will make up for the expense and inconvenience of installing it. If you are interested in this filter system, please check all technical specifications to make sure it works in your meter. On the plus side, the water flow or volume is greater than GE's old dual filtration system.
