Maybe it was my own misunderstanding but I got the impression that the film was statically clinging to the glass. However, you need to remove the protective layer and then apply water to the back to make it stick. I was a little disappointed that there were a few stains around the edges. I used a squeegee to move the bubbles towards the edges but still had a few areas on the outer edges that weren't sticking properly. However, given the cost and the fact that I was already familiar with installing window tint, it wasn't too bad. .
