I bought this diagonal to replace the cheap diagonal that came with my scope and also because I like the cheap 1.25 inch eyepieces, that came with my scope will replace 2" eyepieces. I'm amazed at the visual quality of the star diagonal even when using 1.25" eyepieces. I have a Celestron NesStar 8 SE and it handles the weight of the diagonal quite well. Note, however, that this is a large diagonal So you have to make sure it doesn't get stuck on your mount when you do a "jump to" I use the auto-leveling system so I don't even attach the diagonal until the auto-leveling is complete since the process sometimes causes the crosshair to become vertical.
