Problem and poor quality from manufacturer

When screwing onto the focus reducer (6.3 Celestron) it only unscrews in 1/2 turn. I removed the gear and maybe 3/4 turn. I've seen others continue with more threads. It works, and I'm not sure what's going on with that diagonal, but maybe it's a factorial deficiency or something. I DO NOT BOUND THE SELLER. It was very cloudy in the juice and has only been used a couple of times but I have a feeling it might fall off if I'm not very careful.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • No work

Fits my Celestron C5 Spotting Scope

Although it is an expensive item I wanted to use the 2" eyepieces I inherited from my father. This is a well made star diagonal that screws directly onto the telescope The field of view is better with my 2" eyepieces, but I haven't had a chance to compare it with my 1.25" eyepieces - I hope I can see fainter objects. The case for this diagonal is a lockable metal case , which offers more protection than the rest of my gear.

Large Diagonal in Telescope & Microscope Accessories

I bought this diagonal to replace the cheap diagonal that came with my scope and also because I like the cheap 1.25 inch eyepieces, that came with my scope will replace 2" eyepieces. I'm amazed at the visual quality of the star diagonal even when using 1.25" eyepieces. I have a Celestron NesStar 8 SE and it handles the weight of the diagonal quite well. Note, however, that this is a large diagonal So you have to make sure it doesn't get stuck on your mount when you do a "jump to" I use the…

Does what it's supposed to do, quality part

It's well made and I don't really see the "plastic part" mentioned in another review I'm looking at worried before buying. However, everything turned out to be fine, the thing seemed to be solid metal; It's also a big improvement compared to my cheap kit diagonal. I don't really care about the FOV, I knew there wouldn't be much of a difference with 1.25" diagonals. I only switched to 2" because I want peace of mind when putting a 2" heavy/bulky eyepiece on my telescope. Usually the 2-1.25 inch…

Excellent diagonal (feels good!)

Using the PDA 1100 and the diagonal is very convenient, so you don't have to constantly turn your neck. Overall, the device is ROBUST and is attached directly to the back of the scope. All you have to do is take off the 1.25 Visual Back and put it on. If you have a diagonal for your 2" lenses, I would also recommend buying a 2" adapter if you don't want to include the diagonal (mostly when it comes to photography). A very nice carry case that comes with it if you need to put it away. It adds a…

Super upgrade from stock Diagonal

I recently bought an 8 inch Celestron telescope and after reading other reviews this is my first upgrade. Really a very good upgrade. It's much larger than the diagonal that was available. I guess 2 times more. The packaging is amazing with foam padding protecting it from the top and bottom. The case is overdone but very nice to own. Haven't used it yet because I just got it in the mail today and the sun is high in the sky. I'll use it tonight and hopefully stare at the sky for a few hours…

The Sleeper Upgrade

Wowee. I've been putting off buying a 2" diagonal for years. It's not an exciting update - at least I thought so. In fact, the 2" diagonal is just a means of getting rid of 2" eyepieces. Wouldn't it be more interesting to get a new one and buy a better eyepiece? Possibly, but it's a great upgrade in itself. Most 2" eyepieces are pretty expensive, so I figured I'd have to buy a star diagonal first. I was impressed. This 2" diagonal is a significant improvement over the standard 1.25" diagonal…

Affordable Premium Diagonal Tablet

The XLT Diagonal 2" Monitor is beautifully finished and comes in an elegant metal box with foam. At first I thought some parts were plastic, but closer inspection revealed they were all metal, although some of the metal is so carefully polished and painted perfectly black that it can be mistaken for plastic. It screwed easily and securely onto the back of my old Celestron 8, although I did find a bit of stiffness when I let go of the device to rotate it to a different angle. This is easily…

Excellent choice for a compact diagonal

This is my second. The first came with the 11" Edge HD I previously had. The metal case that comes with the retail version is phenomenal and I wish the one that came with my Edge was there too. The quality is amazing , but the one I ordered from Revain didn't have a 2" to 1.25" adapter which is really weird but it happens. The packaging is just amazing. This item is packaged better than anything, I've ever bought from a telescope company. That doesn't change my opinion much. 4 star rating…
