This can only search for codes and delete them if found, no other functions worked for me.

I bought this because the seller answered yes to my question about whether this scanner can re-match the main computer with the anti-theft module, e.g. B. when the battery is low and you try to start the car. The two modules may not have enough power to communicate and come from a rolling code sequence, which is how garage door openers and remote controls work so people don't memorize your code while they're sitting in front of your house when you go out and your garage to open. when you're gone. Only the remote control and garage door opener know what code they're going to use next, they shake hands when called and confirm they're in the same order. This device has no other function than reading and erasing codes instead of resetting them. any other kind of system as i asked in my question. It is, and you should be prepared that almost all systems are not accessible for scanning unless you buy a round data port adapter and plug the unit into the engine compartment. The in-car one offers very limited access to systems and does nothing more than a cheap $20 data reader, no matter how sophisticated the tool you plug into it. This was a time when BMW weren't very happy about the need to provide OBD access to the car owner, so they only supported the bare minimum from the internal port. a diagram with buttons and multiple screens showing how to navigate. Special features and "Clear Customizations" are not explained or defined.
