Sure it's expensive, but this system is worth the money. This is an investment. We tried several systems. Britta is skilled, the zero water system is a hassle, plus the filters don't last long and you end up spending a lot more on filters than you would on a Berkey system. Black Berkey filters last a long time. Maybe after a while some people will have problems with this but I have confidence in this product and if I have any problems I will contact the supplier and amend this review. My advice: order as many as you can (trust me, you'll regret it later) and buy a decently sized sight glass nozzle so you know how much water is in the tank. Knowing when to add more water and how much to avoid overflowing is really helpful. I hope this helped and I'll edit this review if anything changes. Edit: 6 months later - we still love it! Nothing has changed, the water still tastes good. We are happy with that. Edit: It's been almost a year now and we're still going strong. In general, the taste does not change.
