I was looking for a tuner for my 2018 Silverado that went a little further than canned. At 355.00 it looked pretty good so I went for it. I was very excited when it arrived and read that it needed an update before installing it. No problem. The device was practically Wi-Fi and was only powered by my laptop. Did! I even ran it again just to make sure it was up to date. Went to my truck ready to install. Well you see the message I received. Angry, I went back and updated again. nope I contacted technical support. They do not work weekends and the final reply was received the following Thursday. I tried to return it as I felt it should be a plug and play deal. They said there was a 20% restock and if not in the original packaging and for resale then 50% off my 355.00. I even had to pay them the freight and only had 5 days to come back. So the tech support woman tells me I need a license for 2017 and newer GM vehicles. Once the Ignition software loads, you will be told that you need another $40 to unlock your truck. Well, I'm in deep already, so here we go. It was 7:00 Saturday night when they took my $40 and I finally got an email saying it unlocked at 10:00 Monday. Yes, it's finally working, but I feel like a bit of decoy and switch continues with this one. Next time charge me the full amount and avoid all this. The main reason for this was that it completely shifts into hard gears. My GM 6 is sloppy and always seems to be looking for this gear. When you put it in gear, it takes a few seconds and crashes into gear. The truck has clocked up 2,000 miles and it is suspected that the transmission will be rebuilt in the future. I didn't feel any noticeable difference in gear changes when shifting hard. Damn.
