Although I opted for standard shipping (I wasn't in a hurry) it arrived in less than two days so we decided to use it over the weekend. Some points: I've seen some reviewers say some blocks are weighted unevenly, so I decided to weigh them. They are made of wood, they weigh different, so it is not surprising that there was a nominal difference between the kubb and the dowel, but this does not affect the game. I work with wood and on the Janka scale pine is softer because it's easier to maneuver in the manufacturing process and cheaper, so I'm not surprised that this company used pine. Had they used harder wood the set would have cost well over $100 and it's just not worth it for outdoor play. It comes with a handy large pouch and although it's waterproof we've boxed the set up and kept it indoors. We tried it out in the rain as Hurricane Dorian was approaching and it held up well in the sand and in heavy rain. Overall we had a good time with this game. We're all grown ups so we made this a fun drinking game. However, my niece had a lot of fun trying to knock King Kubb down with her hands (she's too young to understand the rules of the game, but she tried her best, so we were proud). At least we enjoyed it outdoors. the game. We expect it to flex a bit with use, but that's to be expected. It's definitely made out of quality pine, but as mentioned above, it's not the most durable of woods. But for the price it's worth it. We also recommend adults to make it a drinking game, which can certainly be more fun. For children, make sure they throw it secretly.
