Review on πŸ”‹ HOLDPEAK HP-38D Voltage Tester: Pen Type Digital Multimeter with 2000 Counts, Voltmeter, Resistance, Diode Testing, Data Hold, Backlit Display, and Flashlight by Zach Peterson

It's ok, but I wouldn't do it a second time.

1. CARGO! "Pen DMM" I expect it to be saved as . Spring. Handle. This is a regular sized digital multimeter with slightly different proportions.2. The probes are blunted to flat points and there's nothing special to sharpen the meat, nor is there a way to replace it. Flat tips on probes often do not start. Well, I need to change it somehow.3. The ground probe holder is essentially non-functional. It's almost impossible to attach the sensor to it for storage or one-handed use.4. Ground at the exit of the DMM thru hole with a very poorly matched socket/strain relief. I feel like I need to attach it but it's unverifiable, seems like it's half broken. Maybe just mine, but I think it's on purpose.5. With open ports, drifts/makes noise in any mode. I hope this indicates extremely high input impedance and not lousy input current/noise feedback. In the event of a short circuit, it calms down, most of the measurements also turned out to be stable.6. The power button is just a regular mechanical toggle switch behind a rubber membrane cover that completely suppresses visual and tactile sensations, letting you triple check whether the button is pressed or not, or the battery is simply dead. There are a few things I like about it: the backlight and the really good contrast of the LCD. The timeout expires after a few seconds and you have to long press again. The last part should be #7 at the top, but the lights themselves are nice and useful. They seemed accurate enough, so no real complaints here. It's cheap, works well, I'll skip it, but if I'm looking for the next pin DMM I'll skip it.
