The bars are metal and should be stronger. The time will show. The original plastic ones fit my engine. I really wanted clips and bushings. They seem fine too. I didn't like the four ball sockets. They should fold in half and snap into place. The plastic is too thin for that. They kept falling apart so I bought four more from the dealer. They're just under $4 each, but they're much better.
