my tips wear out very quickly' I thought 'how bad can this be' and that's fine with me will, since I do not press so hard. The tray doesn't wear down your tips as much as it polishes them up. My pen has bits of plastic attached to it that look like wood when you sand it down with sandpaper after changing the pen's sensitivity to the softest setting and not pressing too hard during the day. I'm not happy with this but I can handle it because I have lots of extra feathers and plan on making homemade feathers afterwards, but if you'd rather not do anything by hand this may not be the tray for you. Also, on my previous tablets, I had the pen sensitivity set to medium, but I had to move it all the way down to get the same feel. Maybe it's my hand that doesn't want to press due to the tablet's incredible friction.
