SUPER USEFUL - A must for EX-PRO foot/base solutions

PAID :: $29.95 - 1/3/16PURPOSE :: I'm trying to add a "base" to my Opteka X-GRIP EX Stabilizer PRO Metal Video Action Pen for DSLRs and Camcorders RESULTS :: Not bad. I would like to increase the width a bit and change the mounting holes slightly. Has given me a safe, solid base for my EX-PRO to stand on the ground without scratching or chafing the bottom of the rig. Also adds a bit of weight to the bottom which really helped stabilize the balance of my rig. PROBLEMS :: Requires multiple 3/8" and 1/4" threaded mounting holes so you can attach handles and accessories. A little indentation here and there would allow for a flush mount. I'll upload a video of how I use this to clean up the review section. FINAL OPINION :: Very helpful for EX-PRO users who need a better way to set up a rig while on vacation OR want to give you what I think is the best balance for an ex-pro rig. I can use my rig without them, but I'm more comfortable when I have downtime with the rig resting on a real base with rubber feet. My rig was rocking back and forth before I installed this, it's much more stable now. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::::::::::::::: :: :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::: ::: : :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::: :::: :: ::::::UPDATES :: All good, over time I've realized that 2-4 threads more 3/8" mounting holes 1/4" can make it a lot more functional and I'm not disappointed with this unit as such, but a newer version could benefit greatly from this small improvement Mounting flexibility is a KEY way to introduce this product to more rig builders, especially ex-pro users ;):::::::: ::: :: ::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::: :: :::::::::::::::::::: :::::::::::::::::::::: ::::: :: :::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::: :::: LATEST UPDATE :: Added video of the "stable" camera that I modified with this F-POD. It's a bit long, so if you're in a hurry, skip it ;)
