Definitely a good buy for two different reasons. Ideal for collecting animal hair. I have 5 pets: 3 dogs of different sizes and 2 cats. Every now and then I notice growths on those bristles, but that's because we have so much hair! I use it occasionally on our couch and it works better than a sticky roller every day. The other mode is great for carpets when you're just trying to get crumbs or other larger items off the door that won't stick to the carpet. The only thing that confuses me about this setup is that the bottom is metal. Since we have tiles, you can see the metal on the bottom is scratching the floor. If you have parquet or other expensive floors, I probably wouldn't buy this suction nozzle. I would find one that has wheels on the bottom to take better care of your floors and avoid scratches. It also works as it should and fits any universal size vacuum nozzle.
