DO NOT buy it as a Comcast modem. It's only $20/$30 cheaper than something that works ten times better. The modem was working fine before the COVID pandemic. That's when I learned firsthand why all these channels are important. This modem only has 8 channels to try. I can't get support or warranty because the signal keeps dropping. Xfinity came to my house and checked from the telephone pole to my router. The only weak point was the modem. I asked the guy what he has in the house and why. He has an Arris Surfboard 32 or 36 channels (can't remember exactly) and it works much better. Pros: $20/$30 less than a good modem. Works under light use conditions. Minimal reboots. Cons: No support at all. Only 8 channels. The weak point of my network. worked for 6 months UPDATE: I've only used this modem for about 6 months. At the recommendation of my ISP, I replaced it with the modem they recommended. My internet has never been more reliable. It can ruin your internet 100%.
