Review on Silicon Power Ace A56 512GB SATA SP512GBSS3A56A25 SSD by Michal Dobiasz ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

I’ll immediately sign what’s what in the photo: on the left is my old Hitachi HDD at 5400 RPM on SATA II, and on the right is this SSD. As you can see, in practice, files are read 1103% faster and created 1139% faster. According to the last two parameters (RND4K), in general, everything is done 31533% faster. I chose this hard drive based on price / performance. Compared to its counterparts at the same price (or even higher), this one pleases with its leading 560 MB / s read. And I was not mistaken: this purchase is the best investment in my 2022 laptop. I've been using it for 2 months now. Noise. I did not complain about the clicking of my old hard drive, because it, if it was heard, was very muffled. The new SSD is silent as partisans loyal to the Motherland. Removable media. Previously, on my old HDD, the maximum speed for writing files to a flash drive was 20 MB / s. However, replacing it with this SSD, the speed began to reach 139 MB / s. The potential of the USB 3.0 ports existing in my laptop has finally been revealed :) Laptop startup speed. It was: 4-13 minutes. Now: 3-9 seconds. Startup speed (relatively) demanding software: Fully loaded Photoshop - was 4 minutes, now 7-16 seconds Similarly, Illustrator - it was 2-3 minutes, now it's 4-10 seconds. PyCharm, IntelliJ IDEA, WebStorm - it used to be 3-6 minutes, now it's somewhere around 9 seconds I have not yet observed an increase in games, everything most likely rests on the power of other PC components. I also took it because of the problem of disk utilization at 100% in the Task Manager. I'm happy to report that the issue has indeed been resolved after purchasing the SSD, and the laptop no longer goes into a random vegetative state at will. I highly recommend this SSD, so far I have not found any flaws, and it seems I will not find it. I repeat, a chic solution for old (2022-2022) laptops: you yourself can perfectly see the results of changing the HDD to SSD :)

Pros
  • + Leading read and write speed among competitors + Good external design of the SSD itself + Promise 3 years warranty + PC startup speed after shift increased by ~3000% + Startup speed for demanding software - by ~2400% + Read / write to a flash drive - by ~ 700%
