This kit is ideal when you only need a 4 pin connector. It has everything you need for a Honda Pilot. The installation takes little time. Instructions are in the package. Pay attention. There is a step that explains either 7 or 4 contacts. Make sure you're paying attention or you'll think you're missing some items. The hardest part of this setup is the connection above the muffler tip (driver's side). I recommend using a standard larger screwdriver to gently pry the connector mounting bracket away from the vehicle. You can then lower it just far enough below the muffler tip to work it upright. This will likely reduce your frustration as well. : ) *** This bracket also needs to be removed from the connector to allow the end cap to be removed to allow the new 4 pin adapter to snap in. *** There are two terminal points on the vehicle wiring harness connector. holding it together. The one you see is in front of you as you look at the fork. The other is the mounting clip itself, which holds the other side of the connector together. After removing the retaining clip from the connector, you can press the tab on the other side to completely detach the connector from the end cap. The instructions are good except they don't include the specific Honda Pilot tips I just shared above. This is the part that took me the most time because it wasn't obvious how the connector was held in place by the mounting clip. This product is also excellent. If I knew how the mounting clip and connector worked I could probably do it in 10-15 minutes max!
