WARNING: This will not protect your hands from the hot pan. This is a little protective when moving the pot from one burner to another. But if you're moving a hot pan or dish a little farther away (e.g. from the oven to the dining table) - forget it. Very thin. And I thought the silver fabric was heat/flame retardant. NOT CORRECT. It's just gray plastic. They are also very big. I'm a normal guy with average hands but these hands float in these. Not very safe if you want to make sure something stays hot. Save your money and time and choose something more substantial. I returned these.
