It is a simple car wax, suitable for car polishes and waxes

From the description and some comments I was under the impression that this was to 'buff' scratches and 'rejuvenate' the faux marble. It is not. It's just a carnuba wax that protects the faux marble the same way carnuba car wax protects your car's paintwork and seal. Without a doubt, it helps to protect the surface from the moment it appears, helping to keep the shine and avoiding very, very small scratches. But like carnuba car wax, it doesn't help against existing scratches. As with your car, you should rub the scratches with an automotive paint paste and then apply the wax.
