Our ATV trailer was stolen. I blocked the tongue with a good locking pin. The crooks came with a tiny ball that slipped past the tongue lock, lowered a trailer onto it, and drove off. They don't care if the trailer falls off as long as they are being followed. Anyway, the State Patrol Detective recommended this particular type of lock. They are difficult to cut off and cannot be bypassed. Just a note, don't forget to block the safety circuits as well. They will only attach safety chains to their car and tow the trailer. As in our case, most tow trucks are also stolen, so you don't have to worry about damage there. Keep your trailer and get the same lock with a large flat baseplate.
