Environmental testing meter

I received the meter but I don't know how to use it and I don't know what the reading means. The supplied manual explains a little how the meter works. I found someone online trying to explain how the counter works. It says to use cm2 but I couldn't get any readings so I used m2 to get some readings. [.] The seller seems willing to answer any questions regarding the counter, below is the answer to one of my questions. Hello, I would be happy to help you understand and interpret your readings. For people who are new to EMF meters, we recommend using "Β΅W/cm2" (microwatts per square centimeter) as the unit of measure. You can change this by pressing the "Unit/Enter" key until the desired unit appears; it is located just below the reading and to the right of the "XYZ" icon on the screen. It's a much less sensitive unit of measure and will likely make reading easier for you. Although there are no generally accepted "safe levels" for electromagnetic radiation, we believe users should not allow readings above 0.003 Β΅W/cm2. in your area. Anything above this is considered unsafe and may require measures to reduce the radiation exposure to which you are exposed. For example, a score of 0.002 would mean a safe environment, a score of 0.008 would mean moderate levels of harmful radiation, and a score of 0.205 would mean you were exposed to dangerously high levels of EMF. If you wish to use the unit "mV/m" (millivolts per meter) then we think it is safe to read up to 40 mV/m. A result between 40 and 100 mV/m is worrying and if the reading exceeds 100 mV/m it is a very dangerous level. The meter doesn't show anything different when you switch the unit, it just shows the results differently (e.g. converting from centimeters to inches). It should be noted that this meter detects the radiation emitted by wireless devices. broadcast in the area; This means that all cell phones, cordless phones, Wi-Fi routers, Bluetooth devices, smart meters, etc. will affect your meter reading. If you want to detect EMI from a specific source, e.g. B. from cell towers near your home, you must turn off all these devices before you start measuring. However, if you just want to get a general overview of your environment, you can leave everything checked.
