As soon as I received this device I ran a write and read speed test on a large 4.1GB file. USB-C or USB 3.1 Write Speed: 22-25 MB/s; Read Speed: 85-90MB/s I have several old SanDisk USB 3.0 and 3.1 flash drives and they have the following speeds for the same file: 85-90 MB/s write and 180-185 MB/s read. Therefore, the write speed on this product is about 4x slower and the read speed is about 2x slower than older SanDisk devices. The storage capacity and the design are ok, but the speed is not very good. If low price is most important then this product is fine; but if speed is important I would not recommend this product.
