I use one of these with Skype several times a day every day of the week for more than two years. The boom-mounted red mute indicator and convenient mute button combine to create a powerful tool that allows you to completely free yourself from your desktop. I rely on it so much that I recently bought a second one to use with Microsoft Office Communicator to free me from working on my company laptop as well. It is comfortable. I can use it all day for work, give it a little boost while I'm taking a break, and then use it all night. I only turned it off once, left it on the stand and used it from early morning to late at night. The base is weighted, the headset is inserted with little effort and a soft magnet is held. Win 7 and 10 (the OS I tested) doesn't require any special drivers to be installed, which is important if you need to use this on a corporate workstation where you don't have local admin privileges. When trying to get a good second headset I had to return one with microphone vibration noise. But Revain was very helpful and the next one worked great. You can get a consistently higher build quality from other brands. But it's the only one I've found with such a comfortable, quiet design. And you can't beat the price range. This is one of those rare situations where you cannot find the best solution no matter how much money you spend to solve the problem. DECT offers much better clarity at a distance over Bluetooth. If you're trying to pick a headset that frees you from your desktop, this is your best bet. UPDATE: I bought a third one, this time a dual version for gaming. After a week of daily use, I noticed it wasn't charging overnight. I put it back into the charging station several times and it finally started charging. On day 10 I couldn't do anything to charge it. I'm in the process of replacing it with Revain. Also, it had a little microphone vibration noise when walking but not when sitting still. I would live with that until there was a charging issue. UPDATE (Windows 10 app): If you have this headset and are moving from the traditional Skype program to the new Windows 10 app, one of the issues you will run into is the mute button that hangs up calls. . Even though the Logitech Skype Plugin description doesn't say anything about the mute button and it hasn't been updated since 2013, it solves the problem. You must exit the app after installation before it will work.
