There's nothing fancy about this timer, but it's pretty darn cute. seems no different. You have to turn the dial almost all the way around the face and then go back to the time you want to count down. it turns him "on". The bell is lame, it's soft and sounds so vulgar for something so beautiful. Now I bought it because every room in my house is brimming with some sort of easy to use neck pain timer. This low-tech charmer sits next to my office computer so I know when it's time to switch the washer to the dryer and do other simple tasks I've forgotten. Grab one, they're good.
