Review on πŸ” Optimized Search: Sony ICFCDK50 Kitchen CD Clock Radio Under Cabinet by Jeffrey Sanders

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good sound. Simple control. Nice profile to save space. AUX input for MP3 player. The FM tuner isn't the best. My battery is not working

I installed this radio under my kitchen cabinet over five years ago. You probably won't make it anymore, but I'll still write a review. I use it daily. As long as you can find a good strong station the radio will sound really good. We leave it on all day while we go outside to give the dogs something to listen to. The kitchen timer works great. The alarm clock is good, loud, does not turn off. You have to physically go and turn it off. The CD player works well and our iPhones plug into the auxiliary pin jack so we can listen to our music from there. But it doesn't have to be an iPhone. Any MP3 player with a headphone jack will do. It also came with a remote control. It even had a magnet and we kept it in the fridge for a while but never used it. Finally threw it away. Setting the time/date is very easy. I would give it 5 stars but this device has some downsides. The backup battery does not work. I can't close the lid all the way. It's probably the wrong plastic. And the tuner is not the best. It's hard to describe, but I hear a station and that station will be in 3 or 4 other places on the dial, drowning out the other stations. This isn't the first Sony radio I've had to make. In any case, we tune the radio to that station most of the time so it doesn't bother us. This only becomes a problem when I'm trying to find a soccer game or something.
