What an amazing gem!

I was looking for an inexpensive airbrush/compressor combo and took a chance due to budget constraints and balancing good and bad reviews. I mainly build sci-fi models and a few plastic ships, so I need something to prime and paint large areas. The package arrived today in very good condition. I immediately read all the instructions. Compressor Notes: The Compressor Booklet is definitely a translated version, but it's not hard to get through if you have at least an 8 in another language?). The compressor is a bit noisy, but I didn't expect total silence. If there are strangers in the house, it won't bother them at all. The push button is easily adjustable. The hose is well connected, no teflon. I ran the compressor for 30 minutes without connecting it to the airbrush. It didn't stop and didn't overheat. Airbrush Notes: The airbrush is the base model and will do whatever I need to easily prime and paint larger areas. The included booklet is very good. It has great care instructions and a detailed illustration of all parts. I removed the quick connector that came with the kit, connected it to the hose (again no teflon needed) and turned on the compressor. The compressor worked as it should and only kicked in when I pulled the trigger on the airbrush. The trigger moves smoothly. It has a good balance and sits perfectly in the cradle on the supercharger. I haven't tried painting yet, but the airflow on my hand was tight when I held it and expanded as I slowly pulled it away. The key to any airbrush working properly is good cleaning habits and a mix of paint and thinning. I'll post my airbrush results later. My overall conclusion is that this will be a great addition to my modeling tools. The price is great, even though I only got one compressor. Before pouring the paint into the tank, I filled it with a homemade cleaning solution and sprayed it on a paper towel. Depending on the distance to the paper towel, the cleaner sprays differently. After the tank was empty it was time to paint. I tried two different types of thinner: homemade and Valejo's air brush thinner. I discovered that the Valejo thinner works best. Simply add a drop or two to the reservoir with 3-4 drops of paint. Mix and go. The brush works perfectly. When I was done with one color, I added the homemade cleaner to the reservoir and sprayed it into the cleaning bucket. I did this about 3 times to remove all the paint and then added another paint and thinner. It was easy to switch from one color to another. So, the final conclusion: This is a great general purpose airbrush. I will use it for painting plastic models. The main thing is to always keep it clean and not cut it off.
