Customizable Electric Hole Punch! Easy to install and durable!

I am very glad that I chose this TV mount. First, the product is very durable and comes with good packaging, solid hardware, and good instructions. Without instructions, it is relatively self-explanatory. It fits perfectly between 16 inches on center and 14.5 inches between lugs. Like a glove. The key here is that the studs you put it between need to be where you want to mount the TV. I've been lucky on that front. I was wondering what my options are for setting up the electrics for this box. Well, as it turns out (and they really should be touting this as a feature), the box has multiple perforations at the top and bottom for cable management and plugging in the outlet. So we ran the Romex through the attic into the space between the studs (before we put in the drywall) and placed the outlet box exactly flush with where we wanted the top of the TV mount box. So when we made the drywall, punched out the hole for the box and popped it in, the socket lined up perfectly with the hole in the top of the box. (That is, they place a hole in the appropriate location for a one-piece output box that attaches to a stud). The bottom line is that you don't need any exposed cables or wires at all. With the right approach you can route anything in the wall as there are holes in this metal box and you don't have to worry about drilling a custom hole in the metal box. We bought a black socket and black plate cover so it all blended in very nicely with the rest of the box. The metal box has a finish that eliminates the need to add trim around the edges. It covers all slightly wavy cuts in drywall. Please note that the paper guide they give you is NOT a good template. We used it to make the top and bottom notches (for the sides we just cut our studs). The rectangular shape was too short to fit in the box. So we had to go back to our perfectly clean cut and try to scrape off another quarter inch. At that moment he wasn't so clean. A bit annoying but the finish on the box hides it. I really like that the extender and articulation are available, as well as the ability to shove the TV against the wall and not have a big hand behind it. Really clean. I wish I could do this with every TV in my house, but not all studs are 16 inches and some cut right where I want my TV. Grab a stud finder and check your walls, then grab this mount! It is great. it got compliments (on a TV mount!) and everyone who saw it removed the trademark to look for it.
