Review on Canon 0307B001 CanoScan Color Scanner by David Banks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

CanoScan is perfect

I needed a compact and slim scanner for my laptop (15-1/2 inches wide). This scanner was cheap (because I already had a scanner connected to my PC). I don't want to spend a lot for an additional but more convenient scanner) and everyone said that the only downside of the Canoscan is its slower scanning. I'm hesitant to buy a scanner whose only downside is its slowness, since it can't scan to regular graphic formats , but can also scan to PDF (also with the ability to create multi-page PDFs), OCR and something I've never had with my previous scanners, which is scanning multiple images in one go but creating separate pages for each image eniya, and not just for one. Another advantage is that there is no additional power cord; This scanner only uses one of your USB ports! Scanned images come out crisp (up to 300 dpi), text is easy to read and image colors match, or you can customize them with an easy-to-use interface. Didn't realize it was slower than my Epson Scanjet scanner (which has moved to second place now that I have it). While I didn't have to travel, this scanner seems thin enough to fit in a laptop bag. Now if someone just designs a printer that prints 8x10 pages with a thin printer, I can fit everything I need in almost no space.

  • Scanners and accessories
Cons
  • Long delivery time
