Bought two Genie 39165R Wall Consoles replacing two older Genie Wall Consoles that were originally installed side by side in 1998 for two doors and were 2 wire and Intellicode Series 2. So the new 39165R wall mounts are very compatible and worked straight away for our old Genie door openers (1/2 HP model 950/A installed in 1998) and their lights. I put the old shorter screws in the same holes (a bit off). The two old white wires had a red stripe on the one connected to the black one so it was impossible to guess 2 connections for 39165R.fyi. The two old black Genie Intellicode wall brackets had no visible mounting screws and no visible cables. Model number, had a latch in the front of the wall panel. Genie couldn't find any instructions for me on how to remove the front without damaging the plastic and actually gave me the wrong instructions. So I had to figure out how - I used a broad-tipped screwdriver to pry them open without damaging the plastic, and then I saw that their old wall panels weren't in the same position, ie. H. One was installed correctly and the other upside down. Dismantled by our contractual partner in 1998. Your buttons have recently failed intermittently after 23 years of use, so I won't be keeping them as a backup.
