When I first received the dial I was a bit hesitant. It was just a digital dial gauge. I chose digital because it's easier to read than analog. And I was happy to get one that came with a stand too. First let me say that the stand is very well made. When I unboxed it, I wondered why it only had one locking knob, since my counterpart has one in each hinge. Well, this one only has one knob, and when you tighten it into place, it tightens three hinges securely and tightly. Set up the watch face. And the magnetic base keeps the dial in place and won't let it move unless you put a lot of effort into moving it. I tested it right away when I had the chance. So I installed it in one of the spare transmissions I have for my truck. I first measured the backlash in the gear with an analog scale and it was 0.007 inches. Then I replaced the analog scale with a new digital one. Well, to my surprise, the digital scale read 0.0065 inches. So I measured it at least 10 more times to make sure I was getting accurate readings. And every time he read the same measure. So I'm glad I have this digital watch face because it's easier to read and much easier to set up. And apparently it is more accurate than my counterpart. What I don't like is that although it comes with a plastic storage box, it's very difficult to put the base in the box as it doesn't have a dedicated cutout for the base so it's easy to attach. But once you try twisting it in different ways, it becomes nice and neat. That being said, it's a world-built device and has worked well for me so far. Would I recommend to my friends: Yes, because of the ease of use and the cost compared to other similar watch faces. Would I buy it again: definitely. One that I liked the most: the base with a handle to set it up makes it easy to set up if you give it the shape you want. What I don't like: The included plastic storage box. It's hard to get it in place. But it's good that it doesn't get damaged, which is what you want to do anyway.
