This is a lovely bowl I bought for a young box turtle. It was big enough, but certainly not gigantic. It's very hard to find water bowls for turtles, so I was very excited when I found one. I only have problems with cleaning. There are many very small "steps" of imitation stone that are too small to reach with a toothbrush or anything else. The curved outer shape of the walls also makes cleaning difficult. I've tried pretty much every possible non-abrasive cleaning brush I can find and none of them have worked. There is also the problem of tiny bubbles/pits on the surface of the resin that collect dirt (this is part of the resin, not the result of wear or cleaning) and they are so small that no amount of scrapers can ever reach them. It's a shame because it's the prettiest trough I've ever seen, it's just not practical to use with animals that like to use their trough as a litter box. I would like them to recycle the product with a different material and maybe smooth out the faux stone texture so you can clean it. After using these for a few months I had to order another bowl which seems to work much better. I think I'll put some sprouts in it or something and use it as a planter for his aviary.
