Not impressed - kitchen and dining room

Thought I'd upgrade my old Zo Mini to a model with more advanced features. Well it really isn't. Of course, they added a bunch of presets and house dishes where you can adjust the kneading and rising times, but then they did the weirdest thing, removed the setting for controlling the light crust and replaced the display cycle time setting with a setting replaced for the end times. Instead of a light and normal setting, the Crust Control setting is medium and dark. I wouldn't risk baking high sugar bread in this machine. I always use a light crust for them because I think medium or regular is darker. As for the display, instead of defining what the display time would display if the cycle was on ramp 3, it does everything that displays time is bread! The other crazy thing is that there are 3 lift cycles, but there's no way to quickly tell which lift cycle a car is in unless you've been watching like a hawk. All that is shown on the display is lifting. On another Mini, at least the displayed cycle time would show what cycle the dough is in. Even my $89 Compact Cuisinart lists the ramp cycles and beeps so I can take out the spatula if I want to. It also has 3 crust control modes: light, medium and dark. As far as I know this machine is a mess and not worth the premium price. The only reason I bought is because it was today's deal. The machine bakes quite well and the pan is taller than the older model, but I wouldn't recommend buying it full price.
