Ineffective against robbers

Failed to load media. I bought this to spot a possible thief in the living room. I've been trying for a long time to figure out where to mount it. The manual says it can see 110ΒΊ, 0 to 8 meters horizontally and 0 to 2 meters vertically (when mounted at a height of 2 meters). There are ranges he can't see (there's a nice total range chart in the manual). For example, if it is set to a height of 2 meters, anything 1 meter away and shorter than 1 meter may not be detected. Reasons for giving two stars: Disadvantages: * The range is less than stated in the manual. In my tests, a person was almost not recognized further than 4 meters. * The sensor has been calibrated to detect a person walking normally, but a burglar moves carefully not to make any noise. I ran some tests by slowly moving towards and in front of the sensor and it couldn't see me. He couldn't recognize me until I started walking normally. Pros: * Easy to install. You can run it on the included batteries or connect it to a USB power source (not included with the device). * It has two sound modes, bell or siren (which is pretty loud). The call is great for checking the location of the device. Siren perfectly deters intruders. * It comes with a remote control that works very well. The remote control is already synced with the device. * You can also use the buttons on the device. * It comes with two screws and a glue. You decide how to attach it. * The sensor can detect movement even without light. Other Thoughts: This might work well for other apps, but not for robbers. I return mine.

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • No automation
