Review on Crankbrothers Highline Dropper Post Included by Luis Green

Crank Brothers Redemption

In my opinion this is one of the best value pipettes out there. I've been a big fan of the Crank Brothers for a long time. My research showed that their previous dropper was a bunch, but they seem to have learned their lesson. After a few months of work I am very satisfied. I think the best configuration for a dripper is a cable operated hydraulic ram with infinite adjustment. Compared to hydraulically operated drippers (like the Rockshox Reverb), installation is much easier because you don't have to bleed the line. It also costs about 60% the cost of a reverb (which makes me wonder why anyone would buy one). Long before I bought it, I was firmly convinced that I should buy Fox Transfer (Performance Model). . When I went to buy it I found that I could get it here at Revain for a decent amount under Transfer. The lower price and my previous experience with Crank Brothers were the reasons I didn't purchase Transfer. The Fox components are very high quality and my experience with their suspension components got me thinking about the seatpost. When I bought the Highline I still felt like I was taking a risk, but it was worth it. I particularly like the drive. It features a unique swivel mount that allows you to really customize your setup. I really needed this as I'm still using a 2x10 setup and didn't want the actuator to be on top of the handlebars. I installed it behind the wheel so the drivetrain is directly above the derailleur. come on take it Great quality, great performance. (Remember, internal cable routing only. Make sure your bike is set up for this.)

Cons
  • Not bad, but...
