They seem to work well as intended, they seemed almost too stiff when I first started closing them but I noticed the hood flexed a bit. I installed them ok, the instructions could really use more detail. The part you bolt to the frame for the bottom comes with a bolt/nut/washer and I was confused how to get the nut from the back of the frame to the front as the headlight and battery is right there are, it's a very tight spot. I actually unscrewed my headlight and yanked on it to make enough room to get back in, only to find that the black metal bracket itself is actually threaded! So there was no need to come in from the back at all and the mother was not needed at all. See pics, I just screwed the bolt and washer into the threaded mount itself without bothering with the nut on the back. Also, when assembling the steering rack to the ball joints, I only removed the small retaining pin you can see. , and put it back in place after they were put on as I couldn't force it with the needle. Simple enough, a little annoying. All in all I would recommend it. It only feels a bit clunky because of the play in the ball mount, but everything works as intended and seems secure. More detailed instructions would be great. But now I'm writing the first review so the rest don't have to go to the trouble of tearing out the headlights like I did. There is a star deduction for the instructions, but the product works as it should. I will update this review if there is ever a problem
