This tool easily compresses the spring without damaging it, making installation very easy. As many say, a special tool to only use once or twice, but well worth it. A little tip before starting: I found that when removing the spring everything went smoother by placing the right side of the tool (with the nut to the left) on the right side of the spring and basically squeezing the middle of the spring Right. instead of squeezing both sides together. I'm not sure if this is common sense for those who have done this before, but this is my opinion.
